Sears Urges Students, “Don’t Just Go Back. Arrive” At Campus This Fall

Sears has partnered with celebrity designer Michael Moloney to create inspiring looks for the dorm room this fall. As part of the campaign, students will have the opportunity to win a dorm makeover by Moloney. Moloney has created several dorm room styles to fit any personality. From being green to being wired, Sears has the looks to help make your dorm room come to life and express your personality.   
 
“I like to mix and match different pieces to really have my personality shine in my surroundings,” explains Moloney. “Students can do the same, even in small spaces like a dorm room. Pick a few favorite items that remind you of home but toss it up with something modern and new. Now is the time to create your space.”
 
Moloney has five easy tips to keep in mind when decorating a dorm room:
  • Keep your room to maximum of three colors—that will make it easy to coordinate.
  • Green living is about saving the planet. Show your commitment to green by decorating with recycled materials. 
  • Dorm rooms are small. Look at the bedding first and choose colors that coordinate.
  • Don’t clutter the dorm room. Leave plenty of space to study and feel comfortable.
  • Design doesn’t happen overnight! So try something out and see if you like it. If not, change it up!
